  • In this book, I was looking for new techniques and ideas I could incorporate into my personal mindset and mindfulness training (yes, that's a thing!), and I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed.

    I first came across the concept of mindfulness when they introduced it in my son`s school. There was a professor who made research about it and he made a workshop for kids in the class on school time. The kids loved it and it was a great success. I really wanted to know more about it and came across this book. A fantastic book- explaining what mindfulness is and why it's so important to be in control of your thoughts and feelings. Really great for beginners! There are techniques to help you take control of you life even in stressful situations. You can use these techniques wherever you are in day to day life- at home, at work, when your are out just strolling around. Highly recommended to everyone!

This detailed book discusses mindfulness definition, origins, connection to Buddhism, and practices. Mindfulness in our relationships, careers, with how we raise our children. It's all in this book plus lots more. Great read!
  • I am somewhat familiar with mindfulness practices from courses that have been offered at my job, but this book gave me a number of techniques that I can employ across all of the aspects of my life. I particularly enjoy the section on mindful breathing and have discussed it at length with a number of my friends. They said that it wasn't new to them, but it was to me and I felt that it was well explained and immediately practicable. This is a book that I could read over and over and get something new out of every time that I read it. I definitely recommend it for beginners and feel that it offered a lot of value to me personally.

I really liked how this book shows the advantages of practicing mindfulness and the disadvantages of not doing it. It was very easy to follow the steps and I have already started implementing some of them and seeing the results.

The techniques including in this book are amazing and easy to learn. I certainly recommend this book it's great!   • This book was a great guide on what Mindfulness is all about. As I would expect from a book of this style, it convinced me of all the health benefits that practicing it can have. I found the chapter about how mindfulness can help with one's relationships very worthy of a read as I'm sure we could all do with improving some of our relationships! I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their life - as simple as that!
  • It's a short book. Easy to read and general enough to understand the basic concepts. I have read it once and plan to read it again. I think one might get much more out of the information when you learn to personalize it and practice the exercises regularly. In my case, time will tell.
